Peninsula Elementary School Hit With Graffiti

This is one of the graffiti locations

Belmont police are looking for help in tracking down vandals who covered an elementary school in graffiti this week.

The vandalism occurred overnight between Wednesday, Sept. 18, and Thursday, Sept. 19, at Fox Elementary School at 3100 St. James Road, according to Capt. Patrick Halleran.

Campus outbuilding, tables and playground equipment were tagged with various messages and images.

The campus just completed an expansion and remodeling project over the summer. The cost of removing the graffiti has not yet been determined, Halleran said

There is no suspect information at this time. Anyone with information on the suspect or suspects in this incident is asked to call Belmont police at (650) 595-7400 or the crime tip line at (650) 598-3000.
