Permits for San Francisco Dog Walkers?

Just in case San Francisco residents don't have enough things to spend money on, one supervisor is considering legislation that would require professional dog walkers to obtain a permit to take dogs to city parks, says the AP.

Supervisor Scott Wiener, suggested the idea on Tuesday, stating that because of federal officials wanting to tighten leash rules on federal parkland in the area, more people might be bringing their four-legged friends to city parks instead. This would lead to an increased spending on maintenance requirements and rule enforcement.

Advocates say regulating professional dog walkers would help ensure they follow rules and clean up after their dogs.
