Man Pulled From Guadalupe River in San Jose Dies: Police

A man pulled from the Guadalupe River in San Jose early Thursday morning has died, according to police.

The apparent drowning happened near Old Almaden Road and Almaden Expressway, police said.

First responders retrieved the man and transported him to a hospital, but he was later pronounced dead.

The Santa Clara County Coroner's Office has taken over the investigation. The coroner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The identity of the victim has not been released.
