A man was arrested inside a Petaluma Kmart Saturday morning after he tripped the alarm and was found wandering the store after-hours,  police said.
An officer responded to the Kmart store at 261 N. McDowell Blvd., at about 12:30 a.m. after an in-store alarm was activated.

When the officer arrived, he noticed a man moving around inside the store, trying to hide, police said. The officer ordered the suspect, later identified as Jason Michael  Remel, 32, of Petaluma, to surrender, and he did without incident, police  said.
No other suspects were found in the store.
Remel was arrested for burglary and committing a felony while out  on bail for a previous, unrelated case.
He was booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
