Physician's Assistant Arrested for Allegedly Sexually Assaulting Patient

The 35-year-old man allegedly sexually assaulted a woman while he was working at a San Jose weight loss clinic.

A physician's assistant at a San Jose weight loss clinic has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a patient last month, police said Friday.

On Feb. 2, Waissuddin Ali, 35, of Livermore, allegedly assaulted a woman during her appointment at a "Doc's Diet" clinic located at 22 N. White Road, where he was working as a physician's assistant, police said.

An investigation into the incident led to Ali's arrest.

Police said they do not believe Ali has assaulted any other patients at the clinic.

A co-owner of the Northern California diet clinic chain could not immediately be reached for comment Friday afternoon.

Police are urging anyone with information related to the case or other potential victims to contact Detective John Rickert at (408) 277-4102.
