Pink Penguins Flock to San Jose

Yes, those are pink penguins you're seeing chained up to parking posts right outside the San Jose Museum of Art.

The short, concrete statues are part of an art installation called "Migration" by Scotty Gorham, a performance, installation and digital media artist in San Jose, and photographer Chrysta Giffen, who is currently working on her Masters of Fine Arts at San Jose State University.

The two collaborated on a similar project - "The Pallet of the Penguins, Migration" - which was on display outside the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library in San Jose last December.

The squat birds start in the city's art district, south of First Street and continue through Paseo de Antonio before they reach the museum of art at 110 South Market Street.
