Police Arrest 3 in Connection With Bingo Hall Robbery

Police have arrested three men suspected of terrorizing a bingo hall in Santa Clara.

According to police, the robbers entered the Aquamaids Bingo Hall building on 1600 Martin Ave. Wednesday night and held up one of its workers at gunpoint.

Investigators say the suspects are the same men who pistol-whipped a 78-year-old woman two weeks ago in the parking lot of the bingo center and ran off with her purse.

They believe the suspected robbers had been staking out the center for some time. The suspects are in jail, facing, among other things, assault and robbery charges.

Bingo players at the center told NBC Bay Area that they are relieved that police have arrested the suspects.

Police arrested two of the men last night and the third suspect Thursday morning with the help of their SWAT team.
