San Francisco police arrested two suspects in Richmond after an investigation led to a search warrant being served.

San Francisco police arrested a woman and a man Wednesday in Richmond after a search of a home located high-powered assault rifles and suspected narcotics.

Following an investigation that led San Francisco police to the first block of West MacDonald Avenue in Richmond, officers served a search warrant at 4:50 a.m. and found a cache of firearms and narcotics, police said.

Police said they discovered two assault rifles, two pistols, an extended rifle, pistol magazines and hundreds of rounds of ammunition in the search. Officers also seized a pill-making press, hundreds of pills and suspected methamphetamine.

Police took Richmond residents Randy Ashford, 36, and Nakema Killingsworth, 30, into custody. Both suspects were arrested on suspicion of child endangerment, illegal possession of firearms, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance for sale, and conspiracy, among other charges.

They were booked into custody at the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office.
