Police this afternoon identified a married couple found dead from a murder-suicide on a boat in the Vallejo Marina Tuesday as Timothy and Jade Murray.
Vallejo resident Timothy Scott Murray, 41, shot his wife Jade Ann Murray, also 41, with a handgun then shot himself, Vallejo police Capt. James O'Connell said.
The time when the shootings took place has not yet been determined, O'Connell said. He said the couple had a history of domestic violence in Vallejo.
Officers went to the boat in Dock C at 42 Harbor Way to make a welfare check on the couple after a family member said she had not heard from them for several days, police Lt. Sid DeJesus said.
Police found the bodies inside the boat around 10:50 a.m. Tuesday. The couple had been married for three years and previously lived at the Glen Cove Marina in Vallejo, O'Connell said.
There have been 12 homicides, including an officer-involved fatal shooting, in Vallejo this year.
