Police at the University of California at Berkeley are investigating a sexual assault that occurred at an on-campus residential unit Tuesday morning.
The report of the sexual assault was received at 3:57 a.m., according to campus police.
The assault allegedly occurred early in the morning and involved a male student suspect and female student victim. The two knew each other, police said.
