1 Man Dead, Another Hospitalized in Double Stabbing Outside San Jose's Elegant Pub: Police

Police said the motive for the stabbing is not known at this time, and no suspects have been identified.

Police in San Jose are investigating a stabbing that occurred early Saturday morning and left one man dead and sent another to the hospital.

Officers responded at 12:41 a.m. to the Elegant Pub on the 3200 block of South White Road on a report of a stabbing. They located two men suffering from at least one stab wound each outside the bar, according to the San Jose Police Department.

The victims were transported to an area hospital where one was pronounced deceased. The second victim suffered injuries that were not considered life threatening, according to police.

Police said the motive for the stabbing is not known at this time, and no suspects have been located or identified.

Officers are at the East San Jose scene, near Capitol Expressway and Highway 101, and canvassing the area, police said. The identity of the deceased victim has not been released.

The San Jose Police Department's Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation.
