Police Investigating Double Homicide Shooting Outside Boys and Girls Club in Oakland

Two people are dead, including one teenager, after a shooting outside an Oakland Boys and Girls Club.

Oakland police said the shooting happened just before 11 p.m. Saturday night at 24th and Market streets. Officers found two male victims, each shot more than once.

They did not survive long enough to make it to the hospital and were pronounced dead at the scene

"There were a lot of people out here," Lt. Brandon Wehrly said. "Emotions were very high and officers actually had to secure the crime scene and secure the area first before they could render any aide."

Police remained on scene early Sunday morning and said they do not have a suspect nor a motive.

They have identified the teenage victim, but won't release his name until his family is notified.

The adult victim has not been identified.
