Police Make Arrest in Occupy Oakland Shooting

A man from Kentucky is being held for the shooting last month.

Law enforcement officials arrested a man suspected of fatally shooting Kayode Ola Foster near the former Occupy Oakland encampment at Frank Ogawa Plaza last month, an Oakland police spokeswoman said.

The suspect, described as a man in his 30s, was arrested in Louisville Ky. with the assistance of Louisville police, the U.S. Marshals Service, and Oakland police, spokeswoman Officer Johnna Watson said.

The man was arrested on suspicion of fatally shooting 25-year-old Foster, an Oakland resident, on Nov. 10.

At least four other arrests have been made in connection with the Nov. 10 shooting, Watson said.
