Police Search For SJ Mother in Infant's Death SJPD say woman was on drugs when daughter died

Christina Robledo is wanted for the death of her infant son.

 

San Jose Police are searching for a woman they say was negligent in the death of her infant daughter.
  
On May 17, 2008, police officers arrived at the 100 block of North King Rd. and foundthe daughter of Christina Robledo, 23, was not breathing.  The infant was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead, police said.
 
Initially police did not think Robledo was involved with the death. But the investigation revealed that Robledo was under the influence of drugs and alcohol and was unable to care for her child, police said. 

Police issued an voluntary manslaughter warrant for her arrest on Wednesday. 
 
Anyone with information on this case or who know Robledo's whereabouts is asked to call Detective Sgt. Michael Brown or Detective Dave Anaya of the San Jose Police Department's Homicide Unit at 408-277-5283.
