San Jose Man Suspect in Fatal Stabbing

Robert Perez Armenta, also known as Daniel Armenta, is wanted in connection with a Feb. 27, 2011 fatal stabbing of 31-year-old Alphonso Barcenas Castillo, police said.

Santa Clara police are searching for a 22-year-old San Jose man suspected in a homicide that occurred last year.

After receiving reports of an unconscious person around 7:25 a.m., police and fire personnel arrived at the scene to find Castillo deceased, police said.

Police say that since beginning their investigation, they have learned that Armenta has ties to the Cadillac Drive area of San Jose.

Investigators do not believe the incident to be gang related, according to police.

Armenta is described as a Hispanic man who is 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighs 150 pounds, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information about Armenta to call (408) 615-4814. Police also caution anyone who sees Armenta against approaching him, since he is considered dangerous.
