Police in Marina Investigate Two Armed Robberies

Police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred Monday night in Marina.

Around 10:30 p.m. in the 3200 block of Melanie Road, a woman was approached by a man with a white handkerchief covering his face. He pointed a gun at the victim and took her personal property before fleeing the scene, according to police.

Roughly two hours later a 7-Eleven in the 100 block of Beach Road was robbed, and the description of the suspect was similar to the robbery on Melanie Road. This incident was captured on security cameras, and investigators are reviewing the footage, according to police.
