Still No ID on Pleasanton Woman Found in Trash Can

Pleasanton police are having trouble identifying a woman found dead in a trash can last week and plan to release a sketch.

Police are having difficulty identifying a body discovered in trash can left  last Thursday on the road in a rural area of Pleasanton, according to police.

Lt. Jeff Bretzing said police hope to create a sketch of the woman in the next few days to distribute to the public to help identify her.

The body was discovered around 11:30a.m. in the 11000 block of Dublin Canyon Road near Laurel Creek Drive in an upscale area.

Bretzing said the woman did have some distinct features, including dark hair and blue polish on her fingernails.

She was wearing pajama bottoms and an Old Navy brand shirt, Bretzing said.

Authorities had said last week that based on the physical traits of the body that it was most likely not Sierra LaMar, the 15-year-old Morgan Hill girl who was kidnapped March 16 and presumed to be murdered.

Anyone with information about the case has been asked to call Pleasanton police at (925) 931-7300.
