Posey Tube That Runs from Alameda to Oakland to Be Closed for 3 Nights Starting Monday

The Posey Tube that runs from Alameda to Oakland will be closed for maintenance work nightly for three nights starting Monday, Caltrans officials said.

The closure will be in effect from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each of the three nights, according to Caltrans.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and to use alternate routes during the closures, Caltrans officials said.

Alameda-Contra Costa Transit officials said that because of the closure, lines 20, 51A, 851, and O toward the Posey Tube will bypass the stops on Webster Street at Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway and at Willie Stargell Avenue.

Passengers on those lines should board buses on Webster Street at Buena Vista Avenue, according to AC Transit. Line 31 toward the Posey Tube will not skip any stops, officials said.
