Police Investigating Stabbing Homicide in San Jose

San Jose police are investigating a Sunday morning stabbing that left one man dead and increased the city's homicide number for 2016 to 28.

Police arrived to the area of South Second and Martha streets around 2 a.m. to the scene of one man suffering from at least one stab wound, police said.

The victim was transferred to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

No suspects have been identified, and a motive has not been determined, police said.
