A visit from the power company brought in the police.

Cops seized 2,000 cannabis plants from a Fremont warehouse on Friday.

PG&E informed police that the power box had been bypassed on a warehouse in the 37500 block of Glenmoor Drive, according to reports.

Fremont police investigated "a strong smell of marijuana" and then searched -- to find 2,000 plants, the news agency reported.

Two suspects who were working at the grow site were arrested.
