Citizens, rejoice: the potato-peeler terror days are over.
A 26-year-old man's crime spree in which a potato peeler was the weapon of choice ended with his arrest on Tuesday, according to the San Francisco Appeal online newspaper.
The potato-peeler wielder allegedly robbed a 55-year old man in the bathroom of a restaurant on the 2200 block of Mission Street, according to the newspaper. He whipped out the kitchen implement and put the other man in a headlock, making off with his wallet.
The peeler was not much of a deterrent, as the 55-year-old ran after the fleeing suspect and tackled him to the ground on the sidewalk outside, according to reports. Passing police witnessed the scuffle and took the 26-year-old suspect into custody.
No word on the whereabouts of the peeler.
