Antioch police announced the arrest of seven people as a result of a undercover prostitution sting Thursday.

The Antioch police narcotics-vice unit had been monitoring several Web sites used to advertise services, looking for people posting services for prostitution.

Undercover detectives contacted a number of women based on their online postings and arranged to meet in order to trade sex for money, police said.

Michelle Scott, 27, of Oakland, Chanta Pann, 19, of Sacramento, Sharae White, 21, of Union city, Meghan Watkins, 23, of Novato, Brittany Lovre, 20, of Vacaville, and Elaine Garcia, an 18-year-old transient, were all arrested during the sting, according to police.

Jarin Oliver, a 21-year-old Antioch man, was seen loitering around the site used for the sting. He was found to be in possession of ecstasy for sale and cash and was arrested for charges unrelated to the sting.

Police said all six of the women were booked for prostitution and released. Oliver was booked into the county jail for possession of a controlled substance for sale.
