A nine-week-old puppy that was taken from a locked vehicle in Mountain View Saturday was returned after reports circulated in the media and online, police said.
The dog's name is Uso, and he is a mix between a Chiweinne and a Pit Bull.
Uso’s owners said he is friendly and loves people.
The car was parked on Villa Street, near where Central Expressway meets Shoreline Boulevard, when he was stolen.
Police said he was in good shape.
The return appears to have been triggered by reports in local media and on social media web sites, police said.
