Halloween in the Bay Area will be a little bit more bizarre and interesting this year as R. Kelly has announced he will trick or treat at Oakland's Paramount Theatre on October 31.
A quick glance at the embattled R&B singer's career offers a number of Halloween costume ideas. And while some are not polite enough for print, there are some tame choices, including the Pied Piper (since he calls himself "the Pied Piper of R&B") or the oh-so-easy Zorro (to pay homage to his Grammy appearance in the swordsman's mask). Whatever the choice, the masquerade should fit right into the Halloween pride that will be happening on Broadway.
Kelly has a special fondness for the Paramount Theatre. He last performed at the venue in 2006 for "The Light It Up Tour," filming a concert DVD which was released the next year.
