An Oakland Raiders fan hold up a sign in honor of the late owner Al Davis before the game against the Cleveland Browns at O.co Coliseum.
The emotion of Al Davis passing was evident Sunday and it is carrying over a day later.
The Oakland Raiders tweeted Monday afternoon that there will be an official memorial for Al Davis at the Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave., in Oakland Monday from 1 to 5 p.m.
There was no notice given about the memorial, in fact the team tweeted the news almost 25 minutes after the memorial started.
"The Raider Family invites you to visit Al Davis at his final resting place at the Chapel of the Chimes 4499 Piedmont Avenue in Oakland today," the team tweeted just before 1:30 p.m.
But Raiders fans were quick to jump on the news, re-tweeting the official release from the team hundreds of times within minutes.
The Oakland Tribune's Jerry McDonalad added a tweet stating the time of the event.
The viewing is open to the public and it was no more information was given other than the tweet.
