Raiders Zero In on Offensive Coordinator

Now that Al Davis has a coach for the Raiders, he is ready to hire a staff.

Wednesday Baltimore Ravens' consultant Al Saunders met with the team's new head coach Hue Jackson to talk about the vacant offensive coordinator position. The position was vacated when Jackson became the team's head coach.

The NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that Saunders, a former coordinator and head coach, is considered a front-runner to land the job. He says "league sources" expect the Raiders to hire him.

Under one season with Jackson as the team's play caller, the Raiders' offense improved from No. 31 in yards and scoring to No. 10 in yards and No. 6 in scoring.
