Rain Arrives in the Bay Area

Rain arrived in the Bay Area late Monday and more showers are expected to continue until Wednesday.

Bay Area residents on Tuesday can expect a few showers for the morning rush hour. Rain is expected to spread through the region by the evening hours. With mostly cloudy skies and showers, highs will remain chilly. Inland areas in the lower to mid 60s and. Bayside and at the coast can expect temperatures in the upper 50s to lower 60s.

The wet weather will create slick roadways and the California Highway Patrol is gearing up for messy commutes in the coming days.

In addition to oil surfacing on roads, CHP officers are warning drivers to also be aware of debris in the roadway.
