Record Amount of Weapons Seized From Richmond Home

Detectives discovered a massive amount of firearms in a Richmond home Wednesday night, reports the Contra Costa Times.

As part of an ongoing investigation, a team from the Special Investigations Division served a search warrant at a home in the 2300 block of San Joaquin Street, said Sgt. Bisa French.

"Eighteen guns at one time, that's unheard of," French said.

Included in the weapons seizure were AK-47s, M-16s, shotguns and several semi-automatic handguns.

Cornelius Savage, 39, was arrested and booked on suspicion of multiple weapons and drug offenses.

Police also confiscated a kilogram of cocaine, nine ounces of crystal meth, and a small amount of ecstasy.
