Robin Williams has checked into rehab.
The actor and comedian is still sober, however -- his check-in to a treatment center where he plans to stay for several weeks was to "fine-tune and focus" on staying clean, according to PEOPLE magazine.
Williams, 62, and a long-time Bay Area resident -- he graduated from Redwood High in Marin County and maintains a home in Tiburon -- has been sober since 1982, the magazine reported, when his first wife was pregnant with their now 31-year-old son.
Williams just wrapped up two major projects. His rep told the magazine Williams wants to make sure that he has the tools to keep clean.
