Robber Treats Walk-in Freezer Like Bank Vault: Cops

Police have arrested a man who allegedly stole in excess of an estimated $2,000 worth of frozen food from a grocery store in nine separate  burglaries, according to the Santa Cruz Police Department.

At around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, police contacted and arrested 31-year-old Seth Justin Fusari, of Santa Cruz, for an outstanding misdemeanor  warrant, according to police.

Police were looking for Fusari in connection with a string of burglaries at the Shopper's Corner store at 622 Soquel Ave., according to  police. Surveillance video allegedly caught Fusari in the act of burglarizing  an attached walk-in freezer at the store.

Fusari was already known by the police and has an extensive narcotics arrest history, according to police.

Investigations determined that Fusari was allegedly responsible for nine burglaries to the walk-in freezer that had occurred in the past few  weeks.

When arrested, Fusari was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and burglary tools, according to police.

Fusari was booked into the Santa Cruz County jail for nine counts of burglary, possession of a controlled substance, possession of burglary  tools and the misdemeanor warrant.
