The San Francisco skyline will light up in celebration of the 49ers unforgettable victory over the New Orleans Saints starting Tuesday night.

The win is being called historic by many Bay Area fans, and now the Embarcadero Center has announced a special way that the city will be able to celebrate the victory together.

The buildings are usually outlined with white lights during the holiday season. The colors are only only on rare occasions matched to Bay Area sporting teams.

The lights will stay red through the 49er playoff games and as all of San Francisco is hoping, perhaps all the way to the Superbowl.

The lights will be go on at 4 p.m. every day and will be shut off at midnight.

The Niners will now get to host the New York Giants in the franchise's first NFC championship game since the 1997 season.
