SF Teachers Now Have “Black Lives Matter” Teaching Resources

A group of San Francisco public school librarians have banded together to provide a "Black Lives Matter" reference guide for teachers, according to the San Francisco Examiner.

The "online compilation of resources" are of special interest to public school students in the city, of whom "nearly 90 percent are nonwhite," the newspaper reported.

Having the resources handy allows "teachers a means to teach what students were talking about with their families, or seeing on the news, or feeling every day," said Chalida Anusasananan, a libarian at Everett Middle School in the Mission District.

The resource is already the most-viewed of the school district's guides, a school district official said.
