A 22-year old man will serve over 12 years in prison for attempting to fly out of San Francisco International Airport with a cache of drugs, according to reports.

Pedro Daniel Rodriguez, 22, of Guadalajara, Mexico, was flying from Mexico en route to Sydney, Australia on Dec. 29, 2011 when federal agents targeted him for an "extra search," according to Bay Area News Group.

In the U.S. citizen's luggage, agents found 13 pounds of methamphetamine and four pounds of cocaine, according to police.

He pleaded guilty to the charge in September. A judge sentenced him to 150 months in prison on Monday.
