SFPD: 12 Arrests Following Niners Game

Twelve people who partied too hard after the San Francisco 49ers beat the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday in the city's Mission district were arrested, according to San Francisco police.

Officer Gordon Shyy said nine were arrested on uspicion of being drunk in public. The other arrests were for driving under the influence, assault with a deadly weapon and one for a warrant.

The arrests were pretty few compared to the vandalism and crowds that followed the San Francisco Giants' World Series win in October 2012.

The 49ers beat the Falcons 28-24 and sends the team, soon to be based on Santa Clara, to the Super Bowl for the first time in 18 years.
