SFPD Arrest One After Early Morning Car Chase Ends in Crash

San Francisco police have arrested one person and are looking for another in an early Friday morning traffic stop that escalated into a chase with gunshots fired and a dramatic crash.
Around 2 a.m., police tried to stop a white Cadillac for a traffic violation at Eddy and Laguna streets, but the driver fled south on Laguna, police said.
As the Cadillac sped off, someone in the car fired a gun back at police, then ran a red light at the intersection of Eddy and Franklin Streets where the car was struck by a taxicab, police said.
After the crash, both suspects got out of the car and ran away.
Police said the officers were able to arrest one suspect, but the other is still missing, police said.
The taxicab driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was the only one injured, police said.
