The San Francisco police bomb squad investigated reports of a military explosive device near McCovey Cove near AT&T Park and after two hours ended the process without incident.

Streets were opened about  noon, and there was no immediate word on the the results of the investigation into a  military explosive device found near Third and King Streets. Specifically, the device was found by a construction crew in the 100 block of Terry Francois Street shortly before 10 a.m., according to police.

Aerial views from the NBC Bay Area chopper showed that the areas around the ball park were closed to emergency vehicles lining the streets in a neighborhood known as China Basin.

One person named Jeremy Grosser tweeted at 9:40 a.m. that an officer asked him to evacuate his apartment because of a suspicious package.
