Stabbing Outside Union Square Walgreens After Fight Breaks Out Inside

Three of four teenagers suspected of stabbing a man and beating up another near San Francisco's Union Square early Wednesday morning have been arrested, police said.

Shortly after 2 a.m., the four teenage males got into a verbal altercation with two men, both in their 30s, outside of a Walgreens store in the 100 block of Powell Street, police said.

During the argument, one of the suspects pulled out a knife and stabbed one of the victims in his back several times, according to police.

Another suspect punched the other victim in the face, police said.

All four of the suspects fled, but officers responding to the scene were able to locate and arrest three of them.

Both victims were transported to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, according to police.

The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation.
