SFPD Urges Caution In Mugging-Heavy Corona Heights

Travelers beware: 17th and Temple streets is an intersection to avoid.

The Corona Heights crossroads has played host to two robberies in the past week, according to SFPD, which is telling residents to "be on the lookout," according to the San Francisco Appeal online newspaper.

Robberies occurred Thursday and Sunday near the same intersection, according to police. Pedestrians were robbed of their cell phones, wallets, and in one case car keys, according to reports.

The suspect in the Thursday robbery is a black man between 25 and 30, 5 feet 6 inches tall, and 150 pounds. He used a silver handgun, according to police.

The Sunday suspect is a black man, 27 to 33 years old, 5 feet 10, and 165 pounds. His gun was black, according to the cops.

The robberies are not yet considered to be related.
