SJ Homicide Victims Identified

Two men killed in a shooting that injured a third person on early  Saturday morning in San Jose have been identified, according to San Jose  police.

San Jose residents Antonio Velasco, 30, and Joseph Darrell  Ledbetter, 31, were shot by an unknown suspect in the 3400 block of Mount  Prieta Drive just before 5 a.m. on Saturday.

The victims were at a party at the Mount Prieta Drive residence  and were sitting in the home's garage with the garage door open before the  shooting began.

An unknown suspect approached the garage on foot and began firing  a handgun before fleeing. The suspect is still at large.

Velasco and Ledbetter were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third victim, a male juvenile, was transported to Regional  Medical Center with shooting injuries that were not considered to be  life-threatening, police reported.

A fourth person in the garage managed to dive away from the  gunfire and avoid injury, according to police.

Police are still investigating a motive for the shooting and ask  anyone with information to call the San Jose Police Department's Homicide  Unit at (408) 277-5283.
