SJPD Makes Arrests in 7th Homicide

San Jose police say Joseph Cadle was killed Saturday.

San Jose police identified the man killed over the weekend on city streets as Joseph Cadle, 22.

On Monday police called the city's seventh homicide "gang related."

Officer Jose Garcia said Cadle was killed about 4 p.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of Sarasota Way. Officers tried to save him by performing First Aid, Garcia said, but he was pronounced dead at 4:20 p.m.

Other than being gang-related, police have not released a specific motive for the killing.

At about 11:14 p.m. that night, officers located and arrested Alain Calvillo, 20; Filiberto Barreto Lopez, 20; and Francisco Bartolo Chavez, 23 in the area of S. King and Story roads.
