Homicide Investigation Launched After Shooting in San Francisco's Mission District

A man was shot and killed in San Francisco's Mission District early Monday, police said.

The fatal shooting occurred around 2:30 a.m. near 24th and Mission Streets, according to police.

Police huddled around Taqueria El Farolito while they examined evidence. That location is just steps away from a nearby BART station.

A homicide investigation has been launched, police said. No one has been taken into custody at this time.
