San Francisco Giants “We Own the Pennant” T-Shirts Flying Off Shelves

"We Own the Pennant" t-shirts were flying off store shelves within minutes of the San Francisco Giants winning the NL Championship series — a dramatic 6-3 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals in game 5 Thursday night.

The World Series is not only good news for the Giants and their fans, but Bay Area businesses as well.

Official San Francisco Giants NL pennant shirts were coming off the presses at Graphic Sportswear late Thursday night, with 25,000 to be printed by Friday morning. Todd Wong was one of the first to get his hands on a pennant t-shirt, dropping $70 for two shirts as soon as the Dugout store opened at AT&T Park Friday morning.

"I'm a big fan, I've been a big fan since I was a kid — my dad and I would always go to the games," Wong said.

Tickets to watch the Giants face off the Kansas City Royals at AT&T Park next week are even more expensive, starting at $500 on StubHub. Crews are working around the clock to update the post-season paint on the field with the World Series logo.

Giants fan Lauren Wang said she spent $2,700 on three tickets for her family.

"It was an arm and a leg — but how many times do you get to go to the World Series?" she said.
