San Francisco Home Collapse Forces Evacuation, Street Closure

A home collapsed late Monday in San Francisco's Twin Peaks neighborhood, forcing at least one evacuation and a street closure.

"It sounded like a dump truck emptying its load," homeowner Doug Hendrickson told NBC Bay Area on Tuesday morning.

Then he saw emergency crews showing up at his collapsed home, which had been  under construction, and he knew something was wrong.

No injuries were reported in the collapse. Police said the collapse was reported at about 10:30 p.m. on the 100 block of Crown Terrace.

The collapse also prompted officers to close the 100 block of Graystone Terrace to traffic.
