The attack was reported at about 4:45 p.m. near Fillmore Street and Golden Gate Avenue.

The 28-year-old victim was walking down the street when she encountered the suspect and an argument ensued, police said.

The argument turned physical and the suspect, who is 34, stabbed the victim twice in the leg with the screwdriver, according to police.

The suspect then fled and had not been found as of this afternoon. Police know her identity but are not yet releasing it, police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy said.
