Day one of the eighth annual "Outside Lands" music festival ended with the San Francisco Police Department issuing a warning to concertgoers about stolen bracelets
According to police, an undisclosed number of wristbands, used by attendees to enter the show, were stolen inside Golden Gate Park on Friday night.
Organizers have deactivated the computer chips embedded in the bracelets but thieves continues to sell them, police said.
By way of a heads-up to people who have yet to pick up their wristbands, police said that some revelers only discovered they'd been ripped off when they tried to enter the gate.
"Outside Lands'" popularity can be ascertained by the fact that tickets sold out in 45 minutes. However, residents who live nearby struggle with a surge in traffic, littering and noise.
Erin Yales, whose baby struggled able to nap all day, deemed the three-day festival "chaotic."
Meanwhile, concertgoers can also expect parking to be a challenge. Police officers are out in force handing out speeding tickets and ensuring that vehicles and people keep moving.
Organizers expect over 65,000 people to flock to "Outside Lands" each day to watch performances by heavyhitters, including Elton John, Mumford & Sons, The Black Keys, Kendrick Lamar, Sam Smith and Axell and Ingrosso.
The event has reportedly raised more than $10 million for the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department.
