While Halloween is mostly a treat, officers say criminals have pulled off some tricks.
The San Francisco Police Officers Association is urging all Bay Area officers to be on the lookout for trick calls that could lead to an attack.
"There are criminals out there taking advantage of the day," said. "They like to wear masks, cover themselves and rob people."
San Francisco police said there will be stepped up patrols throughout the Halloween weekend.
