We all know everything costs more in the Bay Area — now you can add the price of a baby sitter to the list.
Care.com ranked how much the average cost of a babysitter is in cities across the country, and San Francisco and San Jose are the priciest cities to hire a sitter.
In San Francisco, it costs $16.55 per hour in San Francisco. San Jose isn’t that far behind, with $15.63 per hour. Boston and New York city are also above $15 an hour.
Nationwide, the average is $13.50.
And in case you are curious, the cheapest city to hire a sitter is: Grand Rapids, Michigan at $11.31.
