San Jose Family Searches for Missing Man

Man suffers from schizophrenia and diabetes.

A San Jose family is asking people to keep an eye out for their loved one.

Joseph Cordova, 34, has not been seen since May 1.  His family said he is mentally ill and has diabetes.

Relatives said he did not take medication with him and they are extremely worried that by now he is likely confused and disoriented. He also left his cell phone behind.

San Jose Police Officer Jose Garcia said on Thursday there is an official missing person's report on Cordova, who has left home in April and was later found in Tracy. His family said they searched Tracy this week and found no sign of him.

Cordova was last seen wearing a brown suede jack and black basketball shorts.  He is 5'4" and weighs 260 pounds.

His family says he loves comic books and anime. He also
loves going to Japantown in both San Francisco and San Jose.
Cordova doesn't drive and takes public transportation to get around.

If you see him, please call the San Jose police department's missing persons unit at 408-277-4786.
