A South Bay gas station has prices that have not been seen in years.
Moe's on McKee Road and 33rd Street in San Jose was offering regular unleaded gasoline at $2.99 a gallon Sunday.
2010 was the last time the Bay Area saw gas prices under $3 and that had drivers making special trips to fill up.
"I came back this way because I heard it's $2.99, so you can't beat that," one driver said.
Across the United States, gas is down 18 cents over the last two weeks and is now averaging $3.08 per gallon.
The average gas prices around the Bay Area are a bit higher than Moe's.
San Francisco tops it off at $3.55 a gallon. In San Jose, it is $3.39, and in Oakland, it is $3.43.
