San Jose Home Invasion Robbers Threaten to Kill Family

San Jose police are looking for the criminals they say threatened to kill a family during a middle-of-the-night home invasion robbery in an upscale neighborhood.

The robbers broke into the house in the 5600 block of Snowdon Place – inside a gated community – near Silver Oak Elementary School about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to police. They entered through the garage and woke up three people inside the home, at one point striking one of them.

It is unclear whether the robbers walked or drove into the gated community. Every entrance has a guard shack, and there is video surveillance of every car that drives in, so it’s possible the robbers hopped a fence.

Sources told NBC Bay Area the robbers apparently had knives, and at one point, one of the victims was apparently pistol-whipped by one of the intruders.

The robbers got away, and it seems they took off with some personal belongings from the victims.

Police said one of the victims was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and then released. One other victim also suffered minor injuries.

No arrests have been made. San Jose police are investigating but aren’t releasing information about possible suspects.
